Cyclamen persicum
Cyclamen are one of the most beautiful winter-flowering houseplants. Their distinctive swept-back petals in shades of pink, red, white, and purple emerge above beautifully marbled foliage from autumn through to spring. They prefer cool conditions — a cool windowsill is ideal — and reward careful watering with weeks of continuous bloom.

Care Guide
Light
Place in bright indirect light — a cool north or east-facing windowsill is ideal.
Watering
Water from below by placing the pot in a saucer of water for 30 minutes, then drain.
Temperature
Keep cool — 10–18°C. Avoid radiators and warm rooms which shorten flowering.
Deadheading
Remove spent flowers and yellowing leaves by twisting and pulling the stem cleanly.
Crown rot
Caused by watering from above. Always water from below.
Short flowering period
Too warm. Move to a cooler spot — cyclamen prefer cool conditions.
Yellow leaves
Overwatering or too much direct sun. Adjust accordingly.
